Wilcox Central Cadets visited the Montgomery Aviation facility located at Dannelly Field in Montgomery.  Fourteen Cadets travelled in a school bus driven by Mr. Marvin Carter, traveled to visit the airfield and air traffic control tower.  The cadets visiting included Squadron Commander, Cadet Myia McMillian, and Cadets Shamya Mason, Lakarian Pettway, Thomas Pettway, Chassity Atwood, JanTerra Mack, Temeshia Young, Shondranika Young, Shetoria Dale, Kaylah Jones, Erica Martin, Jajuan Finklea, Zateria Mason, and LeKelvin Manzie.

The cadets were treated to a very professional and informative orientation to the operations counter of the Montgomery Aviation Center.  They were greeted by the operations staff who were very friendly and engaging.  The operations instructed the cadets regarding their duties and responsibilities regarding airplane and passenger responsibilities.  The smaller airplanes made for convenient travel as opposed to the larger aircraft at the main terminal.

The cadets were then led to the Box Aviation side of the terminal where they were met by Bo who was a certified pilot and very interested in allowing the cadets to fly.  The cadets received the proper approvals and were able to fly.  An additional pilot Ziggy was summoned able to fly cadets as well. The flights around the Montgomery Area were exciting to the cadets.

Thanks to the AFJROTC Advisor Major Brown who safety escorted the cadets to Montgomery and back home.
